Note to Customers:  Please do not purchase a donkey if he will be alone.  Donkeys are herd animals and need another donkey to be playful
and happy. Although miniature donkeys get along with goats, alpacas, sheep, and horses, they are not "donkey happy"
without a donkey friend.  We have seen the difference right here on our farm.  Thank you.
Lesson 4:  The Secret  
Visitors Often Ask Us This Question, "Why Are Your Donkeys So Affectionate?"  Here's the Secret.
We could tell you we use a scientifically proven method but the plain truth is that we just love on them every day.
Imprinting our foals (introducing to humans) at birth helps them become trusting and affectionate. Each foal receives a health check and
vaccinations. Hoof handling begins soon after birth. Halter/lead training begins at three weeks. A foal stays at her mother's side until four
months of age for social training and for highly rich milk which provides nutrients for strong bones and proper growth. We truly enjoy our
foals and adults and spend a lot of time loving on them and watching them play. They crave human attention and know no stranger.
