Lesson 4 - The Secret: Visitors Often Ask Us This Question, "Why Are Your Donkeys So Affectionate?" Here's the Secret. We could tell you we use a
scientifically proven method but the plain truth is that we just love on them every day. Imprinting (introducing to humans at birth) helps them become trusting and loving.
Each foal receives a health check and vaccinations. Hoof handling begins soon after birth. Halter/lead training begins at three weeks. A foal stays at her mother's side
until four months of age for social training and for highly rich milk which provides nutrients for strong bones and proper growth. We truly enjoy our foals and adults and
spend a lot of time loving on them and watching them play. Donkeys crave human attention and know no stranger. Come visit and be truly amazed by donkey affection.
